Quality and value

“I’ve played Franklin X-40 for years. After two weeks with DK-40, I’m switching—truer bounce, fewer cracks in cold mornings, and the price makes stocking up easy.”

— Jeff R.

Quality and value

“Practiced with Franklin and Selkirk, then tried DK-40. Seam held up through drills and matches, with minimal wobbles in the wind. No reason to switch back.”

— Jeff R.

Quality and value

“After years with Franklin, the DK-40's consistent bounce (practice to matches) outperforms the X-40 at a budget-friendly price. A must in our pickleball equipment lineup.”

— Jeff R.

Quality and value

“Sub-40° mornings used to shred our Franklin X-40s. DK-40 stayed lively with tight seams and zero spider cracks after two hours. It’s our winter ball now.” — Dana S.

— Jeff R.

Tournament prep approved

“I manage a 12-court league. We ran Franklin and Lifetime for years. DK-40 plays just as true, lasts longer per ball, and the price lets us keep carts fully stocked.”

— Kenzie M.

Cost-effective team uniforms

“I’ve played Franklin X-40 for years. After two weeks with DK-40, I’m switching—truer bounce, fewer cracks in cold mornings, and the price makes stocking up easy.”

- Travis J.  4.6 DUPR

Best mix of pop + price

Selkirk Pro S1 feels great, but it’s pricey for our club. DK-40 gives the same lively pop and straighter flight for less, so it’s our new ladder-night ball.”

— Maya L.

Club favorite

“Practiced with Franklin and Selkirk, then tried DK-40. Seam held up through drills and matches, with minimal wobbles in the wind. No reason to switch back.”

— Kenzie M.

Tournament prep approved

“We’ve used Selkirk Pro S1 for tournaments, but DK-40 delivers the same crisp pop and stable flight at a fraction of the cost—now it’s our default ball.”

— Marcus L.

Durability upgrade

Selkirk plays well, but we’d see cracks after a few sessions. DK-40 holds shape and bounce far longer, making it the better long-term investment for our program.”

— Anna C.

Tournament prep approved

“The DK-40 delivers Selkirk-level spin and speed at a budget-friendly price, ensuring reliable performance for our rec center's many games and making it one of pickleball's smartest buys.”

— Chris B.

Reliable as it gets

“I used to play with Selkirk all the time, but we’d lose a few balls every week. DK-40 has same quality and performance, and most importantly, they won't crack after a few sessions.”

— Jordan P.

Stays round in heat

“We used VPRO outdoors last season; they warped on hot days. DK-40 stayed round and consistent all afternoon. Our 12-pack costs less than past orders.”

— Colton D.

Coach’s pick

“I run clinics and go through balls fast. DK-40 survives serves and smash drills better than our VPRO stash, and the cost-per-ball is easily the best.”

— Coach Nina

Upgrade from starter balls

The VPRO balls that came with our net got soft fast. DK-40 feels game-ready—clean holes, firm bounce, bright color that’s easy to track.”

- Travis J.  4.6 DUPR

Cold-weather tough

At 45°F, our old VPRO balls cracked within a few games. The DK-40 lasted 20+ without losing
bounce. We're standardizing on these for winter play.

— Colton D.

League-tested durability

“We rotated VPRO for years, but DK-40 holds its bounce and shape longer in both league nights and weekend open play. Lower cost means we can refresh stock more often without stretching the budget.”

— Coach Nina

15-Match Win Streak

“I’ve tried a VPRO, but DK-40 is the only one that stays consistent week after week. After a few games, you can really tell the difference.”

— Dani K.

 FAQ

What is Roto-molding?

Roto-molding is a process that makes seamless, hollow plastic products by heating and rotating a mold so plastic powder melts and coats the inside evenly.

What are the benefits of roto-molding?

Roto-molding creates strong, evenly balanced balls with no seams or joints — perfect for pickleballs where durability and consistent flight are key.

Why does a SEAMLESS pickleball still have a line on it?

The line is just a mold parting mark, not a seam — the ball is still one solid, seamless piece with no impact on performance.

Why are there small burrs around the holes?

These are minor plastic edges left during the hole-punching process, which is completely normal. They do not affect play or flight performance.
Most are removed with heat, and we're continuously improving production.

Why do injection-molded pickleballs crack more easily?

Injection-molded balls are made from two halves welded together, and their seams can crack under impact or cold weather. Dinkly’s roto-molded balls are one-piece and seamless, built for long-lasting durability.
